About · the operator

One person. One phone. Picks up.

I'm Hunter. I build the websites, I write the AI replies, and I answer the phone when you call. There's no team behind a curtain.

I started Bally because every owner I know, trades and salons and clinics and shops alike, has a story about losing a five-thousand-dollar job to a phone call they didn't get to in time. I wanted to fix that for one person at a time, starting in my own town.

The whole story

From the field to the floor to the front office.

I'm not a marketing guy who never picked up a tool. Here's the actual road that got me here.

Same person, the whole way through.

Ch 01

The plan was to go pro.

I grew up chasing a competitive baseball career. That was the whole identity, the whole plan. Pitched into the Perfect Game Collegiate League. Came back for one more season after a stretch of trades work, and blew out my elbow in the first game. Tommy John. That was the door closing, and when it shut I needed something real to do with my hands while I figured out what came next.

Ch 02

A year in the trades. That's where I learned how it actually works.

Real shop, real schedule, real exhaustion. Phones ringing while you're on a job. Customers calling the next guy because nobody picked up. Marketing companies pitching $8,000 websites that never moved the needle. Software vendors selling dispatch tools you'd only ever touch a fifth of.

I watched it from the inside. I knew what the day actually looks like, what was eating people's time, and what the back-office tools the trades were sold were quietly failing at.

Ch 03

Then I built what I wished we'd had.

Bally is the thing I would have bought if I were back on the shop floor. A real website, live in about a week. An AI that texts back every missed call in seconds and books the job. Follow-up so nothing slips, and none of it priced like the dispatch software nobody in the shop ever opened.

I am one person. Ontario, Canada. I pick up the phone myself, because that is the part the trades I worked with always wished they had: someone on the other end who had actually been there.

Why Ontario · and why it doesn't matter

Ontario is where I am.
Your business is where the work is.

I built this in Ontario, and my first calls were with businesses close to home, mostly the trades, where Bally started. But a website does not care about geography, and neither do I. If people look you up before they call, this works the same in any province or any state. Nothing about this needs me on site. The only real difference is the time zone on the call.

The straight talk

What I won't do.

A short list of the things a bigger agency does that I've decided not to. Hold me to them.

01

I will not sell you the big build if the small one covers it.

There are three build sizes: $800 for a single page, $2,000 for a working site with up to eight pages, $2,500 for the full showcase. If the $800 one covers what you need, that is the one I will quote you on the call. The prices are on the site so you can check them before we speak, and the care plan that follows is $70, $90 or $90 a month.

02

I won't lock you into a contract.

Care plan, 30 days notice. The only way I keep your business is by being worth the money every single month, so that is the deal, in writing.

03

I won't pretend AI did something I did.

If I edit your homepage, it's me. If the AI wrote a reply, that's the AI. I will always tell you which is which. No smoke, no "our team."

04

I won't put AI on your phone without sign-off.

Owner-approval mode is available on every tier. Every AI reply held for you to read before it goes out, if that's what you want. Your name, your call.

The continuity plan

What happens if I get hit by a bus.

Every owner I talked to quietly asked this. Here's the real answer, in writing.

01 · Your domain is in your name

When I register your domain, the owner on the record is you and your business, not me. If I disappear tomorrow, nothing changes about your domain. You keep it. Always.

02 · You get a copy of your site files

Every site I build, I hand you a full copy of the files any time you ask. If I go silent for more than seven days, you can hand them to any web developer in town and be back online in an afternoon.

03 · Your customer list is yours, exportable any time

Every lead the AI catches is yours. Export the whole list to a CSV whenever you like. Print it, hand it to your accountant, take it with you. Your customers are never locked inside my system.

04 · My lawyer has your info on file

I keep a one-page document with my lawyer. If I'm out for more than 14 days, every active client gets contacted and offered help moving the site elsewhere, or a referral to another solo operator I trust. Your billing stops the day I'm out.

05 · You can ask my mom

My mom, Sue Ballantyne, is the named emergency contact on my business documents. If something happens to me and you can't reach me, she has the same backup files and the lawyer's number. This is the part most "agencies" never tell you. I am.

Want to talk?

Pick up the phone.

I answer it myself. No call centre, no press-1-for-sales. If I'm on another call, I'll ring you back the same day.
